Configure Outlook 2016 Account

Configure Microsoft Outlook 2016
 
 
  • Open Outlook 2016. If the Microsoft Outlook 2016 Startup wizard displays automatically
  • On the first page of the wizard, click the arrow on the right-hand side of the window
  • Next click the Get started button followed by Start Using Outlook
  • On the next window, click Add Account

 
  • If the Microsoft Outlook 2016 Startup wizard doesn't appear, on the Outlook 2016 toolbar, click the Tools tab
  • Then, just click the Accounts button
 
 
  • Select the Other Email button
 
 
IMAP Account Configuration (Preferred)
  • In the email and password sections, enter your email address and password
  • In the username field enter your full email address
  • Select IMAP in the Type drop-down menu
  • Enter imap.siteserver.com for the incoming server (IMAP) and smtp.siteserver.com for the Outgoing server (SMTP)
  • Check the Override default port below the Outgoing server field
    • Enter 587 in the field next to the smtp.siteserver.com field
  • Finally click the Add Account button
 
 
POP3 Account Configuration
  • In the email and password sections, enter your email address and password
  • In the username field enter your full email address
  • Select POP3 in the Type drop-down menu
  • Enter pop3.siteserver.com for the incoming server (POP3) and smtp.siteserver.com for the Outgoing server (SMTP)
  • Check the Override default port below the Outgoing server field
    • Enter 587 in the field next to the smtp.siteserver.com field
  • Finally click the Add Account button
Additional Configuration
  • Click the More Options... button
  • Select User Name and Password from the drop-down menu
  • Type your username and password into the appropriate fields
  • Click OK
