How to configure IMAP mail on Apple iPhone

Setting Up Your Siteserver E-Mail Account

  1. If you are not already there, return to the main iPhone menu. You can do this by pushing the main button at the bottom of the front of the iPhone.

  2. Tap the Settings button.

  3. In the Settings menu, tap Mail.

  4. Tap Accounts.

  5. Tap Add Account.

  6. In the Add Account menu, tap Other.

  7. In the Other menu tap Add Mail Account.

  • Name - Enter your full name.

  • Email - Enter the Email Address you want to set up

  • Password - Enter your Email password

  • Description - Enter the same Email Address from the Email tab. (This will be the shown as the account's name on the iPhone)

  • At the top of your screen, you should see IMAP and POP. Make sure IMAP is selected.

  • The first 3 boxes should already be filled out, but if they're not, put your full name under Name, your Email address under Email, and enter the same Email address under Description.

 

  • Incoming Mail Server

  • Host Name - imap.siteserver.com.

  • User Name - Enter the same Email Address from the previous steps.

  • Password - Enter your Email password.

 

  • Outgoing Mail Server

  • Host Name - smtp.siteserver.com.

  • User Name - Enter the same Email address from the previous steps.

  • Password - Enter your Email password.

 

  • Tap Next. If everything is entered right, it should say "Verifying" at the top of your screen, give it a minute to load.

  • Make sure it says IMAP at the top of your screen, and make sure that Mail is turned on.

  • Click Save. It should say "Adding Account" at the top.

 
Your iPhone is now set up to send and receive Emails using IMAP.
